How do I update sending identities (e.g. signatures, sender name)?

Sending identities are managed by your email application. While some email software present sending identities and accounts as one thing, in fact they are multiple. Thunderbird is one of the email clients that makes this distinction clearly.
Webmail
In the webmail, there is also a possibility of setting the sender of an email. For the purpose of this guide, assume I am the owner of mailbox m998@gewis.nl and can also send as committee@gewis.nl.
- First, sign in to the webmail on https://webmail.gewis.nl
- Next, to your name, click the gear icon to open Preferences
- In the Preferences menu, select "Mail", then click "IMAP Accounts" and finally click the pencil icon
- Create identities as needed. For the signature template, refer to https://gewis.nl/corporateidentity. Using the "Source" button in the editor, it is possible to upload your own HTML. Make sure to press Source again to make sure the contents of the editor are saved
