Frequently Asked Question
This guide is for domain administrators. Aliases forĀ @gewis.nl e-mails are managed by the CBC.
Mail aliases are addresses which are not associated with storage or a login. Instead, they forward email to another address (either a mailbox on the server, a mail alias on the server or an external address). They can also forward to multiple addresses (for simple mailing lists).
Setting the destination of a mail alias to a mailbox on the server allows that mailbox to send mail from the aliases address. This allows you to have the mailbox firstname@demodispuut.nl which is able to send from both its own private address as well as another, such as chairman@demodispuut.nl.
First, login at theĀ domain administrator portal.
